But then once they release you from the corral to the actual start (there's like a quarter mile where you run up to the foot of the Verrazono where you wait to start AFTER you leave the corrals)you can situate yourself more towards the back if you are concerned about taking off too fast. In my opinion though, there will be so many people of different paces all around you that as long as you keep to what you want to do for the first couple of miles, you should be fine!<br /><br />Don't sweat it too much!
